kitchen remodeling can very often come with a hefty price tag. but, it doesn't have to. if your kitchen has good bones, it's amazing what some tile and paint can do. with a total cost of $1072, this is a pretty incredible transformation, if I do say so myself. :) and it makes me extra happy, because this transformation is in my house!
we bought our condo about a year ago, we were so excited, it was clean and new, and solar powered!, but whoa did it lack in character. slowly but surely we've been transforming our space and this transformation has by far had the most impact on the whole home. it's the first thing you see when you walk in, and we both love cooking (my husband is a chef), so it was really important to us to make it feel waaaay better in there.
we sent the cabinet doors out to be painted, but after that it was just a week of work on my part, which I did during the day while my daughter was at school! it was so, SO fun! before and after transformations make me all smiley. :)
here's the breakdown:
$750 to have the cabinet doors sent out for painting (I didn't want to take this one on by myself, with the possibility of drips. leave this to the pros if you can)
$322 remaining supplies: tile, grout, tile adhesive, wood, brackets, tile drill bit, paint for walls, new drawer pulls, hooks for espresso cups.
